London: Pakistan Champions made a winning start to the event by defeating the host England Champions in the opening match of the World Championship of Legends. Pakistan Champions won the match by 5 runs.
Batting first, Pakistan Champions scored 160 runs for the loss of nine wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Captain Mohammad Hafeez played an innings of 54 runs.
Chris Tremlett dismissed two players each for England.
In reply, England team could score 155 runs for the loss of three wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Phil Mustard played an innings of 58 and Anne Bell played an innings of 51 runs for England Champions.
For Pakistan Champions, Rumman Raees, Sohail Tanvir and Aamir Yameen took one wicket each.
Pakistan Champions will play their next match against arch-rivals India on July 20.
