Sahiwal: Commissioner Sahiwal Division Dr. Asif Tufail has said that the police martyrs who sacrificed their precious lives while protecting the lives and property of the people are our heroes. Those families whose sons sacrificed their lives while protecting the lives and property of the people are commendable. He said this while addressing a special ceremony organized to pay tribute to the martyrs on the occasion of Police Martyrs’ Day. In which members of the Provincial Assembly, Naveed Aslam Khan Lodhi, Pir Wilayat Shah Khaga and Rana Riaz Ahmed, Deputy Commissioner Shahid Mahmood, DPO Rana Tahir-ur-Rehman, Additional Commissioner Coordination Dr. Saifullah Bhatti, police officers, civil society, traders’ association, scholars, journalists and families of the martyrs participated. The participants of the ceremony paid tribute to the police martyrs, and Fateha was also offered for their high ranks. He said that the doors of government offices are always open for the families of the martyrs. Addressing the ceremony, DPO Sahiwal Rana Tahir-ur-Rehman said that the security of nations is possible due to the blood of the martyrs. Addressing the ceremony, MPA Naveed Aslam Khan Lodhi said that the martyrs are our pride, and we are proud of them. He said that the martyrs salute their families and the police. Earlier, Commissioner Sahiwal Dr. Asif Tufail also laid a wreath at the martyrs’ memorial.
