In the hearing of the petition regarding the recruitment of Patwaris to vacant seats in the federal capital in the Islamabad High Court, Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani has made strong remarks and said that the Deputy Commissioner does not know which of his men is corrupt. I know which of our judges is corrupt, I know how money is collected in institutions, if they want, they should implement this bribery legally.
During the hearing of the case in the court of Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani in the Islamabad High Court, a report containing details of corruption and bribery in Patwari Khanas was submitted. The report stated that Patwaris have hired secretaries, and corruption and bribery have taken.
The State Council said that we have given the report and will ensure the solution of these problems. Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani said that your report has come, I have seen it, this is the situation, I know everything about how money is collected in institutions.
Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani asked that the Deputy Commissioner does not know which person in his institution is corrupt? I know very well which of our judges is corrupt; if they do not have enough money, then they implement this bribe legally.
Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani said that this court had ordered the determination of the price in the transaction case, but it was not implemented. Why are the Chief Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner not implementing the order? The Deputy Commissioner is a part of this system and I know what happens all day long. I will call the Chief Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner to the court and teach them the law in two minutes. If my order is not implemented, the Chief Commissioner and DC should appear in court.
Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani, while interacting with State Counsel Abdul Rehman, said, “On your assurance, I am not issuing a strict order today.” The court directed the implementation of its order and adjourned the hearing until Monday.
