Minority Week, organized by the Punjab government, begins, and will continue till August 11, 2025

Lahore: The Punjab government has formally launched the Minority Week, which will continue from August 7 to August 11, 2025.

The inaugural ceremony was held at the Cathedral Church of Pakistan, Lahore.
The ceremony was attended by Provincial Minister Ramesh Singh Arora and others.
Secretary of Human Rights and Minority Affairs Farid Ahmed Tarar was present.
Foreign diplomats, civil society and minority representatives participated in the ceremony.
Bishop Cathedral Church of Resurrection, Nadeem Kamran, welcomed the gathering.
Provincial Minister Ramesh Singh Arora, along with others, planted a sapling in the church.
Bishop Nadeem Kamran offered a special prayer for the development and progress of Pakistan.

The celebrations began with an interfaith colorful procession.
It will depart from the Cathedral Church and proceed to various holy places in the city.
The convoy will reach Krishna Temple and Gurdwara Dera Sahib, Badshahi Mosque and will also pay homage at the Iqbal Shrine.
A grand closing ceremony will be held at Minar-e-Pakistan.
