Government completely failed: Jafar Express attacked again, train services to Quetta suspended

Spezand/Quetta: The government writ seems to be completely ending in Balochistan. Jafar Express was attacked once again. The train from Peshawar, the capital of Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, to Quetta, Jafar Express, will remain cancelled from Peshawar on August 10 and from Quetta to Peshawar on August 11.

According to a statement issued by Pakistan Railways on Sunday, Jafar Express will once again be cancelled from Peshawar on August 13 and from Quetta on August 14. The Bolan Mail train will depart from Karachi on August 16 on time and reach Quetta on August 17.

On Sunday itself, six bogies of Jafar Express derailed in an explosion on the railway track near Spezand area of Balochistan, but no casualties were reported.
Railway officials confirmed the blast on the track and said that the blast took place when the Jaffar Express was passing by. The Jaffar Express had left for Peshawar at 9 am.
No passengers were reported injured or killed in the blast; however, railway rescue teams and railway officials also reached the spot.
The Jaffar Express has been targeted by sabotage several times before.
Three days ago, on Thursday, a blast took place on the track near the railway station in Sibi district of Balochistan. The blast took place after the Jaffar Express, which was travelling from Peshawar to Quetta, passed by.
