Sahiwal: A grand flag hoisting and cake cutting ceremony was held at Dera Muhammad Sohail Jatt, Faisal Town 90-9 L on the occasion of Independence Day, which began with the recitation of the Holy Quran. The participants, filled with national spirit, sang the national anthem and prayed for the progress and prosperity of the dear homeland.
The special guests of the ceremony were Pakistan Peoples Party District President Muhammad Zaki Chaudhry, Tehsil General Secretary Farooq Altaf Bajwa, former President Press Club Registered Sahiwal Rana Javed Nisar and Chairman Press Club Sahiwal Azizul Haq.
The ceremony was attended by President Pakistan Peoples Party Trading Wing Sahiwal Raheel Rao, President Lawyers Wing Pakistan Peoples Party Amir Chauhan, Chaudhry Muhammad Irshad, Pervez Akhtar Jatt, Haider Ali Jatt, Chaudhry Waseem and a large number of dignitaries and local people. The duties of the stage secretary were performed by Muhammad Saleem Bhatti.
Special prayers were offered for the security, peace, order and prosperity of the beloved homeland, while the participants congratulated each other on Independence Day and expressed their determination to play every possible role for the development and unity of Pakistan.
