Malakand: Senior Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam leader Maulana Kifayatullah and his wife were seriously injured in a gunfight by his son in Batkhela tehsil of Malakand district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Levies officials said that the gunfight took place at Mufti Kifayatullah’s house in Batkhela tehsil of Malakand.
Levies’ sources said that Mufti Kifayatullah’s son and daughter died in the gunfight, while Mufti Kifayatullah and his wife have been shifted to the hospital in an injured condition. According to Levie’s sources, one of his sons or daughters is also seriously injured.
According to the report, as soon as the information about the incident was received, the rescue authorities shifted the bodies and the injured to the hospital for medical assistance.
Sources say that the gunfight was carried out by Mufti Kifayatullah’s son, and the accused fled after the gunfight.
