Hazara: Hazara Journalists Association Elections Complete, Friends Group’s Luqman Shah Sadr and Naveed-ur-Rehman were elected General Secretary unopposed. According to the election schedule, only Friends Group candidates had submitted their nomination papers by August 19, the last date for submission of nomination papers. No one came in their place. A total of 15 candidates had submitted their nomination papers for the governing body, out of which Ahsan Awan and Noman Sadiq’s papers were later withdrawn.
Other unopposed winners of Friends Group include Muhammad Pervez, Finance Secretary, Naveed Jamal, Ghulam Murtaza and Shams Abbasi, Vice Presidents, Information Secretary Arshad Tanoli and Waqas Ahmed, Tayeb Khan and Shaukat Malik, Joint Secretaries.
The 13 candidates of the governing body who were elected unopposed include Babar Malik, Muhammad Dawood, Sajjad Khan, Ashfaq Tanoli, Hamza Ehsan, Shakeel Ahmed, Ali Tanoli, Yasir Mahmood Abbasi, Jahangir Ahmed, Abrar Wali, Anila Sheikh, Umer Khan and Sultan Ahmed.
