Sahiwal: The establishment of Sahiwal Institute of Cardiology is no less than a blessing for the people of Sahiwal. The Chief Minister of Punjab will inaugurate the institute next month. Its quality will not be less than Lahore and Islamabad. Senior and expert professors have been appointed in Sahiwal. For the first time in the history of Sahiwal, open-heart surgery will be performed. This was said by MS Ilyas Anjum, Director of Sahiwal Institute of Cardiology, while talking to Rana Waheed, Bureau Chief of Nawa-i-waqt London, English newspaper Daily Dawn London, OK TV and Dawn TV UK. Insha Allah, by the grace of Allah Almighty, all the facilities of angiography, bypass operation and angioplasty will be available in Sahiwal very soon, and keyhole surgery of the heart will also be done. Dr. Ilyas Anjum further said that all the machinery is being installed quickly, and the remaining machinery and staff will also be completed soon. CT scan and modern machinery for heart treatment will also be installed in Sahiwal. The people of Sahiwal do not need to go to Lahore or Multan. On this occasion, in-charge kidney ward Professor Dr. Samiullah, Chairman Press Club Sahiwal, Azizul Haq, Rana Waheed, Malik Muhammad Irfan, Tipu Sultan, Kashif Mushtaq Bhatti, Chaudhry Najeeb Ahmed and Sharif Mughal were also present. Dr. Ilyas Anjum visited the cardiology ward and gave a briefing.
