Islamabad: The Judicial Department of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) has submitted a report in the case of Dr. Aafia Siddiqui, stating that the contempt of court notices issued to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and his federal cabinet are not enforceable until certain legal matters are resolved.

The report has been submitted in the case file of Dr. Fawzia Siddiqui, who has requested the release of her sister, Dr. Aafia Siddiqui, from a US prison. The report stated that the notices issued against the Prime Minister and his ministers for not implementing the court order are not enforceable.

In its report, the Registrar’s Office has suggested the formation of a larger bench to consider 3 basic legal points.
