Lahore, Multan: The floodwaters have reached the limits of Multan division, and there is also a high level of flood in the Ravi River. The Mai Safooran dam was broken to save the headwaters.
After the extremely high level of flood alert, there is a possibility of an increase in the flow of water in the Chenab River and the adjacent rivers.
There is a possibility of an extraordinary increase in the flow of the Ravi River and adjacent rivers in the next 48 hours. PDMA Punjab has instructed the Deputy Commissioners of the concerned districts to remain alert.
An alert has also been issued to the Deputy Commissioners of Gujrat, Sialkot, Wazirabad, Gujranwala, Mandi Bahauddin, Hafizabad, Sargodha, Chiniot, Jhang, Kasur, Okara, Pakpattan, Vehari, Bahawalnagar, Lodhran, Bahawalpur, Multan and Muzaffargarh.
