ISLAMABAD: Human rights activist and lawyer Iman Zainab Mazari-Hazer has submitted a request to the Registrar of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) to preserve CCTV footage of a ‘tragic incident’ that happened to her during a conversation with Chief Justice Islamabad High Court Justice Sarfaraz Dogar this week.
In her application, Iman Zainab Mazari also shared on social media platform X, she said that I am writing to you so that the CCTV footage of the Honorable Chief Justice’s Court No. 1 from 9 am to 11 am on September 11, 2025, may be preserved, as during this time a sad incident happened to me, as a result of which it is necessary to preserve the recording of the conversation.
The application states that I would also request that a copy of the CCTV footage of the said date and time be provided to me, for which I have attached a USB with this application.
The court proceedings that Iman Zainab Mazari referred to in her application were held on Thursday, when she was representing her client, who had requested the removal of human rights activist Mahrang Baloch’s name from the Exit Control List in the court of IHC Chief Justice Dogar.
During the hearing, Justice Sarfaraz Dogar warned Iman Zainab Mazari against contempt of court proceedings and reportedly even said that he could “have her arrested.”
