Multan: In August and September, dozens of towns and hundreds of settlements located on the banks of the Ravi, Sutlej and Chenab rivers were submerged. People shifted to camps, spent days in temporary shelters and returned from time to time to check on the condition of their homes by boat.

At the same time, there were some incidents where human hands also caused damage to the victims after the natural disaster. Such reports have come out from South Punjab in which construction equipment, solar panels and batteries, water pumps and electrical appliances kept on the roofs of houses disappeared.
