Sahiwal: The committee formed by the Chief Minister’s Monitoring Committee has summoned four officers, along with all records, to the hospital at 12 pm on Thursday in the case of alleged mega corruption worth billions of rupees in a teaching hospital. The officers involved in this alleged corruption started beating their hands and feet to save themselves and sought support from political camps.
The Sahiwal Teaching Hospital project was started in 2014 for a billion rupees, but after nine years, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz was informed by MPA Malik Qasim Nadeem about the mega corruption in the hospital that: Steam units for laundry and surgical equipment are incomplete, and generators for laundry, etc., and other equipment are missing from the hospital. As soon as the inquiries started, generators worth crores of rupees were delivered to the hospital overnight. In this regard, the Chief Minister’s Special Cell formed various committees and conducted an inquiry into it. Today, on September 18, the Secretary and the Special Secretary and the Additional Secretary will conduct an inquiry into the mega corruption in Sahiwal Hospital and important revelations are expected. It should be remembered that two days ago, MS Teaching Hospital was instructed to collect all the records and send them to Lahore.
