Several illegal residential structures constructed on government land in Chak 85/6/R were demolished

Influential people had illegally constructed houses on government property, and government land worth Rs 1 crore was recovered

Sahiwal; On the special instructions of Deputy Commissioner Shahid Mahmood, SDO Para Noman Qaiser led by SDO Para Noman Qaiser took effective action against illegal encroachments and demolished several illegal residential structures constructed on government land in Chak 85/6/R. In the said Chak, some influential people had illegally constructed houses on government property, on which Para Force reached the spot and conducted an operation. During the operation, all the illegal structures were demolished with the help of machinery and government land worth about Rs 1 crore was recovered. Deputy Commissioner Shahid Mahmood termed this operation as part of the ongoing campaign by the district government to eliminate encroachments and said that illegal occupation of government lands will not be tolerated under any circumstances. He said that government properties are the trust of the people, and strict legal action will be taken against the elements occupying them. He added that a zero-tolerance policy has been adopted against encroachments, and operations in this regard will continue daily in different areas.
