Lasbela: A violent clash broke out between students and police at Lasbela University of Agriculture, Water and Marine Sciences in Lasbela district of Balochistan province of Pakistan on Wednesday, resulting in several students being injured and several arrested.
The incident took place when the Baloch Students Action Committee tried to set up a protest camp inside the university. The organization has been protesting against the suspension of several students by the university administration for several days.
The situation became tense when the administration called in the police. The police resorted to a lathi charge and tear gas shelling to disperse the protesters, in response to which the students pelted stones.
