Hasilpur: A poor working citizen was denied the facility to provide treatment for his wife’s delivery at THQ Hospital, Hasilpur. The lady doctor on duty did not listen to the affected citizen and said in blunt words, “This case is not possible here, take it to Bahawalpur or go to a private hospital.”
Affected citizen Mehr Ahmed Sher said that patients are being pushed due to a lack of facilities in the largest government hospital in Hasilpur, while the doctors and staff, despite receiving salaries of millions of rupees, instead of providing basic facilities to the public, shirk their responsibility.
The citizen has demanded that Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and the Health Minister take immediate action against incompetent doctors and hospital administration so that the poor people can get basic medical facilities.
