London: British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer has said that after the announcement of US President Donald Trump’s proposed Gaza peace plan, all relevant parties should sit together and try to finalize the agreement. He particularly urged Hamas to accept the plan, lay down its arms and release the hostages to end the cycle of oppression and suffering
US President Donald Trump presented his 20-point plan for a Gaza ceasefire in a press conference at the White House along with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, which was praised or analyzed with mixed reactions by various regional and world leaders.
Sir Keir Starmer said in his statement that the UK will work with the US administration to implement this plan and called on all parties to join in joint efforts for peace. He made it clear that Hamas’s cooperation is essential for the success of the agreement so that the ongoing humanitarian suffering in the region can be ended.
