Sahiwal: A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Commissioner Sahiwal Division Dr. Asif Tufail. The ongoing development works in the commercial area of the city and their beautification were discussed in detail. Deputy Commissioner Shahid Mehmood, Director Development Shafiq Ahmed Dogar, MD WASA Tanveer Qaiser Sindhu also attended the meeting. Commissioner Dr. Asif Tufail directed that work on ongoing projects be expedited so that they are completed on time. He said that the sewage problems in the commercial area should also be resolved permanently as a priority. Later, he visited Zafar Ali Stadium, E-Library, Hockey Ground and Old Stadium Hotel and directed to finalize the proposals for beautification at the earliest. Commissioner Sahiwal Dr. Asif Tufail also directed to complete the drains being built for rainwater drainage in Deepalpur Bazaar, Sadar Bazaar, High Street and Liaquat Chowk at the earliest.
