Islamabad: A major setback has been dealt to PTI before the election of the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Election Commission has declared the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Sunni Ittehad Council assembly members independent.

The Election Commission has issued a notification regarding the PTI and Sunni Ittehad Council assembly members in light of the Supreme Court order.

In the notification, all PTI and Sunni Ittehad Council members have been declared independent in the national and provincial assemblies. There has been a major change in the party positions in all assemblies, and new lists have been issued.
