Sargodha: Four people were injured in an attack on a Qadiani worship place in Rabwah, while one attacker was killed in the retaliatory action by security personnel, while three escaped.
According to the spokesperson of the Ahmadiyya Jamaat, the armed men attacked the Ahmadi worship place ‘Beit al-Mahdi’ located in Gol Bazar of Rabwah when members of their community were engaged in worship.
According to the Ahmadiyya Jamaat, the armed attackers tried to enter the worship place, but the security personnel foiled the attempt, and four security personnel were injured in the firing on this occasion.
An official from Chenab Nagar police station in Chiniot told Dawn that at the time of the incident, a large number of people were present at the place of worship when four people in a vehicle arrived there and one of them, an armed man, got out of the vehicle and took out a pistol and started firing.
According to the police officer, the security volunteers of the Qadianis outside the place of worship engaged the armed man, and as a result of the firing, the armed man was killed.
The police officer said that after the killing of the armed man, his other companions in the vehicle managed to escape.
The police officer said that various areas of the city have been cordoned off to arrest the accused, but the accused have not been arrested yet.
