Sahiwal: Divisional Development Working Party meeting chaired by Commissioner Sahiwal Division, Dr. Asif Tufail. Approval of revised project for the construction of drains for sewage in Gol Chakar and adjoining markets, Sadar Bazar, Rail Bazar, Kachhari Bazar and Hospital Bazar in Okara city and installation of tough pavers in the parking lot adjacent to Zia Shaheed Library. The cost of the project has increased from Rs 749,000 to Rs 121.4 million, which will solve the sewage problem of Gol Chakar Mosque and all four markets permanently. Dr. Asif Tufail directed MD WASA Okara to personally review the various ongoing schemes for laying sewage in the city so that the entire system can be run effectively. In the meeting, the approval of the Rs 350 million project for the beautification of four major markets of Okara city, Saddar Bazaar, Rail Bazaar, Kachhari Bazaar and Hospital Bazaar and the Rs 150 million project for the beautification of markets of Depalpur city was deferred for further consideration. Commissioner Dr. Asif Tufail directed the Deputy Commissioner of Okara to design these projects according to local needs.
