Okara: Police have registered a case against a person for violating the Sound Systems (Regulation) Act 2015.
According to the police, the incident took place on October 15 near Satghara Mor, where a rickshaw driver was playing music loudly by installing a sound system in his rickshaw.
The FIR of the incident also stated that the driver was playing a song on a tape loudly, the lyrics of which were ‘Meenu Soti Nau Jaga Ke Aap Son Laga Aein, Ki Zalma Kaman Laga Aein’.
The sound system from the rickshaw has been seized as evidence.
According to the police, the action has been taken under Section 6 of the Punjab Sound Systems (Regulation) Act, 2015, which prohibits the use of loud sound systems in public places.
It is worth noting that last month, a similar incident had come to light when the police in Lahore registered a case against a citizen for playing a song loudly on a sound system in a car.
The FIR of this incident mentioned the song ‘Jhanjar Di Pawan Chhankar’, and now in the recent incident, the words ‘Meenu Soti Na Jaga Ke Aap Son Laga Ae Ki Zalma Kaman Laga Aein’ have been used.
