Lahore: Concerned about the poor performance of the batters in the Asia Cup, the national selectors have started considering including former captain Babar Azam in the T20 squad against South Africa.
Fast bowler Haris Rauf, all-rounder Hussain Talat are likely to be dropped for the T20 series against the Proteas, while fast bowler Naseem Shah and spinner Mehran Mumtaz are likely to be included in the team for the short format.
According to sources, a decision on the inclusion of wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan has not yet been made. The final decision regarding Mohammad Rizwan will be taken in the next one to two days.
