London/Lahore Hindu community across the world, including Britain and Pakistan, is celebrating the festival of lights, Diwali, with religious fervour and enthusiasm today.
Special ceremonies, prayers, and traditional lamp lighting are organized in temples on this occasion. The Hindu community celebrates this day to commemorate the return of Lord Ram to Ayodhya, when he returned home after a fourteen-year exile and established a symbol of the victory of justice and goodness.
The festival of Diwali is considered to symbolize the victory of light over darkness and good over evil.
