Provincial Law Minister/Convenor District Coordination Committee Kasur, chaired a high-level meeting in the committee room of the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Kasur

Kasur: A high-level meeting was held in the committee room of the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Kasur, under the chairmanship of the Provincial Law Minister/Convenor, District Coordination Committee Kasur. The meeting was attended by MNA Malik Rashid Ahmed Khan, MNA Sheikh Saad Waseem, members of the Provincial Assembly Chaudhry Muhammad Ilyas Khan, Chaudhry Mahmood Anwar, Muhammad Naeem Safdar Ansari and Chaudhry Ahsan Raza Khan, along with heads of all departments of the district. In the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Kasur Imran Ali gave a detailed briefing on the overall performance of the district, development projects, and administrative performance, while DPO Kasur informed about the steps taken regarding the law and order situation, crime prevention, and protection of citizens. CEO Health presented a detailed report on public health facilities, hospital performance, vaccination campaigns and maternal and child health programs. Similarly, CEO Education gave a briefing on the measures taken to promote education, improve schools, teacher attendance and improve the quality of education. The meeting also reviewed the ongoing development projects under the “Roads Restored, Punjab Prosperous Program”. The Deputy Director of Development and the Director of Highways provided information about the progress made on the construction and rehabilitation projects of roads across the district. Provincial Law Minister Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan, while addressing the meeting, said that on the directions of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, effective steps are being taken to promote public welfare, peace and stability, and good governance across the province. He directed that all development schemes be completed within the stipulated time and all departments should further strengthen mutual coordination. The patchwork of Kot Radha Kishan Road should be completed within 15 days.
Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan told Exxon LESCO that strict action should be taken against electricity thieves; however, the electricity supply of the common man should not be affected at all. He directed the DSP Traffic to ensure full implementation of the law and take steps to continue the flow of traffic. The Provincial Law Minister of Punjab clarified that the District Coordination Committee (DCC) will continue to monitor public service, transparent governance and development process, while under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the province is on the path of progress and prosperity. In the meeting, the members appreciated the performance of the district administration in the flood-affected areas and termed the rescue and relief activities as satisfactory. Representatives from DHO Health, SNGPL, LWMC, ANHAAR, Rescue 1122, Revenue, WAPDA, Agriculture, Environment, Social Welfare and other departments, as well as ACs Kasur, Chunian, Pattoki and Kot Radha Kishan, were also present in the meeting.
