The government has taken a historic step to prevent the increasing incidents of Islamophobia and attacks on mosques in Britain, which is being appreciated.
British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer has announced additional funding of 10 million pounds for the protection of mosques after the increase in hate attacks on them.
The British Prime Minister announced this during a visit to a mosque in East Sussex, along with Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood.
It should be noted that this is the same mosque where a car was set on fire near the entrance of the mosque earlier this month.
Keir Starmer said on the occasion that Britain is proud of its tolerance and solidarity. An attack on any community is an attack on our shared values and will not be tolerated.
He made it clear that the funding allocated to protect mosques is not just about financial support but also about making Muslims feel that they are a safe and respected part of British society.
Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood also announced that the government would further strengthen the surveillance of mosques, security cameras, entrances and emergency response systems.
Condemning the attack, he added that the attack on the mosque was a terrible crime that could have had devastating consequences but was averted in time.
