London: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s Special Assistant meets the Israeli delegation in London, revealed. Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif’s Special Assistant on Tourism, Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan, allegedly met an Israeli delegation during the ongoing World Tourism Exhibition in London.
In a statement issued by him on Friday, it was said that several misleading claims have been circulating on social media since last night, saying that the Special Assistant had met an Israeli minister or government representative.
The Special Assistant clarified that all these reports are contrary to facts and fabricated.
‘On the second day of the exhibition, a foreign delegation visited the Pakistani pavilion, which was later found to be from Israel.’
According to Sardar Yasir Ilyas, only ‘formal handshakes, welcoming phrases and informative introductions’ took place during this time, which is an integral part of international diplomatic etiquette and the exhibition’s code of conduct. It is completely irresponsible to call it any kind of meeting or political contact.
He said that delegations from different countries visit pavilions in international exhibitions without discrimination, and the host team welcomes every guest according to protocol.
‘It is malicious to present this process as a political meeting or a change in government policy.’
Sardar Yasir Ilyas said that the Israeli delegation released some pictures of the pavilion visit on its social media platforms, which were distorted by some elements in Pakistan and tried to damage the government’s narrative by fabricating a false story.
