Peshawar: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and former provincial minister Taimur Saleem Jhagra was offloaded from Peshawar Airport while going to America.

PTI leader Taimur Saleem Jhagra said while talking to Daily Dawn and Dawn TV that this is the current state of democracy in the country, but we have to confront the current system.

Former provincial minister Taimur Saleem Jhagra was going to the US city of Washington from Peshawar through a private airline but was stopped at the immigration desk because his name was on the no-fly list.

Taimur Saleem Jhagra said that he was going to participate in a conference on the ‘Future of Democracy’ in Washington but was told at the airport that his name had been put on the no-fly list.

He said that no one knows who puts or removes names from the list. I have also written a letter to the Home Secretary and also applied to the court but have not received a response.

Taimur Saleem Jhagra said that I have previously left the country many times without any hindrance and then returned, but this is the first time this has happened. Before that, my daughter was also stopped.
