Manchester: While the world was celebrating the arrival of the new year, PIA passengers at Manchester Airport were lamenting the indifference of the system. On January 1, hundreds of passengers of flight PK-702 to Islamabad were made to wait for 6 hours at Manchester Airport, only to have their hopes dashed by the sudden cancellation of the flight.
The hopes of families who had reached the airport to celebrate the New Year with their loved ones turned into protests when they were denied a flight, using the traditional excuse of a ‘technical glitch’.
