Islamabad: Former Senator Mushtaq Ahmed Khan has officially announced the launch of a new political party, Pakistan Rights Movement.
Addressing a ceremony at a private hotel in Islamabad, Mushtaq Ahmed Khan stated that the Pakistan Rights Movement will conduct its politics in accordance with the principles of the 1973 Constitution and will strive to ensure constitutional supremacy in the country. He said that in the current system, the common man is deprived of his fundamental rights, which is why his party will make equality, justice, and public service the axis of its politics.
The former senator said that the Pakistan Rights Movement will struggle for quick and cheap justice, freedom of expression, provision of quality education and health facilities, eradication of poverty and corruption, end of extrajudicial killings and military operations, and restoration of trust between federal units.
Mushtaq Ahmed Khan, while describing the current parliamentary system as fake, said that there are restrictions on journalism and expression of opinion in the country, unemployment, inflation, food insecurity, the spread of drugs, environmental pollution, and corruption have become serious national problems.
