Lahore: Three people died in a fire in a 19-storey hotel, while 180 people were rescued safely.
According to the Chief Secretary of Punjab, the fire broke out in the basement of the hotel, but due to timely action, all the people inside the building were evacuated. He said that now there is no one inside the hotel, while a seriously injured person has been shifted to the hospital for medical assistance.
Rescue officials say that three people lost their lives due to the fire, among those who died was a young man who was employed in the hotel’s laundry.
