Sahiwal: Sahiwal ranks first in corruption in development projects. According to local journalist Malik Mehboob Alam, the Sahiwal administration, business community, media association, legal community and all those agencies that are working sincerely for the country are challenged to stop corruption in Sahiwal and show that work worth crores of rupees has been handed over to a single approved contractor. Change the SDO and Exxon of the Municipal Corporation and show under whom these development projects are being worked. These pictures of sewage holes are from Jinnah Chowk, Sahiwal, which has burst due to pure material on the first day itself, and cracks have appeared in it. In the history of Sahiwal, we have never seen such poor and shoddy material used in works as is happening now. Contractors and government employees are eating from the same plate. There is no check and balance. Every department takes its share. Political contractors should be blacklisted in Fulfour Sahiwal, and all their works should be checked by committees. Every work is using poor and inferior material, which will prove harmful after a few weeks. These are small sewage pipes that cannot carry the load of water from four houses. Who will clean it? The guilty are the engineers and the contractors who are looting this city and the country with both hands, and after a few days, they become the owners of big vehicles and plazas. Chief Minister Punjab, Chief Secretary Punjab, Commissioner Sahiwal, and Deputy Commissioner Sahiwal should form honest committees on development projects to extract money from these looters.
