Live: Protests and clashes continue in different cities of Pakistan, foreign offices, government and military properties set on fire, curfew imposed, mobile phone and internet services suspended, one dead in Islamabad, 28 people, including a security official, killed, hundreds, including officials, injured

Gilgit, Skardu, Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad: After the killing of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in US and Israeli attacks, 28 people, including security officials, have been killed and many injured in protests in different cities of Pakistan.

On Sunday, anti-US protests in Gilgit and Skardu, two major cities of Gilgit-Baltistan, turned violent. And the protesters damaged and set fire to foreign offices, government, and military properties.
A total of 14 people, including a security official, were killed in clashes between protesters and security forces.

Seven bodies have been brought to Gilgit Hospital, while seven have been brought to Skardu Hospital. The Skardu Hospital administration stated that a total of 45 injured people have been admitted to the hospital, of whom three are in critical condition. Additionally, 14 people are undergoing treatment at the Gilgit Hospital.
In view of the deteriorating situation in Skardu, a curfew has been imposed and it has been decided to close all educational institutions in Gilgit and Skardu. Mobile phone and internet services have also been suspended in Gilgit.
