Makkah: The Madinah Health Cluster has launched a new emergency scooter service to provide urgent medical assistance to pilgrims at Masjid-e-Nabawi (PBUH) during Ramadan.
According to a report by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) published in Arab News, the presence of thousands of worshippers in the mosque courtyard may make it difficult for medical teams to get through the crowd.
According to the SPA, ‘With the help of these scooters, it has become easier for medical staff to reach busy places, see emergency cases and transfer patients to nearby hospitals and care centers if necessary.’
According to the SPA report, 91 people have benefited from the service since its launch, all of whom have been referred to health facilities in the central region, including Al-Shifa Health Endowment, Haram Emergency Hospital, and Safiya and Bab Jibril Urgent Care Centers.
The SPA said the new initiative “reflects the efforts of the Madinah Health Cluster to ensure the safety and well-being of pilgrims.”
