Riyadh: Saudi Arabia has been on a journey of transformation in recent years. Especially when it comes to empowering women, they are being provided with opportunities in education, business, workforce and social life that could never have been imagined.
At the meeting of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) in New York, Princess Lamia bint Majid Al Saud praised the kingdom’s progress towards gender equality and its vision for the future.
This year, Saudi Arabia chaired the 69th session of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women.
In an interview, Princess Lamia bint Majid Al Saud highlighted the remarkable progress of Saudi women, the challenges they face and the important role of youth, especially girls, in shaping the future of the country.
“I think it’s time to show our capabilities,” she said.
