Toronto: Sikh organizations recorded a strong protest against Modi before the G7 summit.
Modi was invited to the G7 summit in Canada due to diplomatic compulsion, but thousands of Sikhs from the Sikhs for Justice and Khalistan Movement protested strongly when Modi arrived in Canada.
The Sikh community was shouting slogans in favor of Hardeep Singh Najjar, who was killed in Canada. Modi had the naive idea that he would escape the eyes of the world and the Sikhs during the G7 summit.
The Sikh community shattered Modi’s dreams by giving a protest reception on Alberta’s Kananaskis Highway.
Sikh leaders said that Canada is hosting the G7 leaders while the Modi government is murderous. The Sikh community in Canada expressed anger that it is not right to invite Modi.
Sikh leaders said that the Canadian government has blamed India’s intelligence agency “RAW” for the murder of Hardeep Singh Najjar.
Modi should have been held accountable for serious human rights violations, his participation in the G7 summit is a question mark on global values.
