Israeli army admits failure in missile interception defense system

War reporter Daily Dawn + Dawn TV report

Tel Aviv: The Israeli army has admitted its failure to intercept an Iranian ballistic missile.

Military officials have claimed that the missile could not be intercepted due to a possible technical failure in the missile interceptor system.

According to Israeli media, the incident occurred on Friday morning in the southern Israeli city of Beersheba, where the missile fired by Iran landed near residential apartments. At least five people were slightly injured in the incident, while several vehicles and buildings were severely damaged.

Military officials say that the failure in the interceptor system is being examined so that future such attacks can be effectively dealt with.

The Times of Israel has confirmed that the Israeli army is viewing the incident as a technical failure, which has raised questions about its defense capabilities.
