According to the Iranian news agency Tasnim, Iran has named the missile operation against US military bases in Qatar and Iraq ‘Basharat Fatah’, in which the code name ‘Ya Aba Abdullah’ was used.

The Iranian armed forces say they have launched a devastating and powerful missile attack on the Al-Udeid military base in Qatar.

According to the British newspaper The Telegraph, Western officials had previously said that the Al-Udeid base, located on the outskirts of Doha, faces a ‘credible threat’.

The base is the headquarters of the US Central Command (CENTCOM), and British military personnel also serve here on a rotating basis, however, several aircraft have been transferred from the base in recent weeks.

According to the Iranian state news agency Press TV, sirens also sounded in Bahrain and military personnel at US bases in Iraq took shelter after the attack on the Al-Udeid base in Qatar.

According to Iran’s Mehr news agency, Iran’s Supreme National Security Council has said that the number of missiles used in the operation is the same as the number of bombs used by the US in its attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities and that the military base targeted by the Iranian forces was located far from civilian installations and residential areas in Qatar.
