Washington: US President Donald Trump has said that five fighter jets were shot down during the recent conflict between India and Pakistan.

According to the British news agency Reuters, a limited war with neighboring Pakistan took place in early May after an attack on tourists in Indian-administered Kashmir in April, which ended with a ceasefire.

President Trump, while mentioning the downing of five planes in the war between Pakistan and India at the White House during a dinner with lawmakers from his party Republicans, did not specify which side’s jets were downed.
