Manchester: A fan wearing a Pakistani cricket team jersey was asked by security to cover his jersey at the Old Trafford cricket ground.

In a video that went viral on social media, it can be seen that a cricket fan named Farooq Nazar was watching the India-England match wearing a Pakistan team jersey when the security guard asked him to cover his jersey.

The incident took place before the start of the match, which was apparently the last day of the last Test, when a steward from Lancashire County Cricket Club approached Farooq Nazar and asked him to cover his jersey.

Farooq Nazar can be heard saying that I have come to watch the match after paying, I need your order in writing.

When the fan asked for written proof, more stewards were called to resolve the matter and apparently he was given a justification for covering his shirt.
Meanwhile, the fan said that this is a small matter, everyone here is representing their countries and I am representing Pakistan by wearing my country’s shirt. If you force me out, that is your choice, but the entire public here will record this scene.
When the matter turned into an argument, the police reached the spot and the fan was told to go outside for a few minutes and talk and resolve the matter.
No response has been received from the cricket club or the concerned department in this regard so far.
