Legends League: India refuses to play the semi-final with Pakistan

Sports reporter,Daily Dawn , Dawn TV report

London: India refused to play the semi-final of the World Championship of Legends against Pakistan, according to Indian media. The Pakistani champions were scheduled to face the Indian team in Birmingham tomorrow. After India’s refusal, Pakistan will reach the final because Pakistan has more points than India.

India has once again turned the game into politics and refused to play against Pakistan in the semi-final of the World Championship of Legends 2025. This step by the Indian team has been taken after the tension in bilateral relations and the political uproar in India over the recent Asia Cup schedule.

According to Indian media, the Indian champion team, which includes Yuvraj Singh, Shikhar Dhawan, Yusuf Pathan, and other former players, had already boycotted the match against Pakistan in the group stage.

Now, by refusing to participate in the semi-finals, India has once again made its stubborn and distant policy from the game clear.

The Indian team had made its place by defeating the West Indies, but now by deciding to withdraw from the important competition, it has not only negated the spirit of the game but also left a negative impression on the world stage.

On the other hand, Indian sponsor Easy My Trip has also distanced itself from the semi-finals, showing prejudice towards Pakistan and issuing a biased statement saying that they cannot be a part of any match against Pakistan.
