Washington: US President Donald Trump has warned Russia, saying that he has issued instructions to two US nuclear submarines to ‘take positions in appropriate areas’ in response to the ‘highly provocative’ statements of the country’s former President Dmitry Medvedev.
According to the Associated Press news agency, in a social media post, President Trump said that he took this step because ‘these foolish and provocative statements can be more than just words.’
He wrote that ‘Words are very important and often have unintended consequences. I hope such an opportunity will not arise.’
