Delhi: The Indian opposition has severely attacked the Modi government and severely criticized the so-called democracy and the role of the Election Commission.
The United Opposition said during a press conference at the Constitution Club in Delhi that the BJP gained power by robbing the people’s votes, while the Election Commission has become just a political weapon.
According to Telegraph India, the opposition claimed that the Election Commission deliberately conducts elections through fake voter lists, so that the Modi government can benefit.
Rahul Gandhi said that the BJP government is established based on fake votes, while instead of asking for affidavits, the Election Commission itself should answer the nation.
Rahul Gandhi alleged during the Vote Adhikar Yatra that one lakh fake voters were registered, but the Election Commission, instead of taking action, asked for an affidavit from me. He said that they are responsible, the theft is theirs, and I am being held accountable.
Trinamool Congress’s Mahua Moitra termed the preparation of fake voter lists as a serious crime and demanded action against former election commissioners and the dissolution of the Lok Sabha.
Congress MP Abhishek Banerjee said that the Election Commission systematically rigged the elections, while Ram Gopal Yadav said that in the 2022 elections alone, the names of more than 18,000 voters were removed from the voter list.
Samajwadi Party, Congress, Trinamool Congress and other opposition parties say that serious irregularities were committed in the voter lists in many states, and even the names of dead people are included in the voter lists.
The opposition unanimously demanded that whenever an Indian coalition government is formed, strict action be taken against biased election commissioners.
