Rabi-ul-Awwal moon sighted in Saudi Arabia

Jeddah: The moon of the Hijri month of Rabi-ul-Awwal has been sighted in Saudi Arabia, and the first of Rabi-ul-Awwal 1447 AH will be on August 24, 2025.

The Haramain X account wrote with a picture that, upon sighting the moon of Rabi-ul-Awwal, the clock tower in Mecca was illuminated to announce the arrival of Rabi-ul-Awwal.

The Supreme Court of Saudi Arabia has confirmed that the moon of Rabi-ul-Awwal has been sighted, and tomorrow, Sunday, will be the first of Rabi-ul-Awwal, and 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal will be on September 4, 2025.

In Saudi Arabia, the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) will be on Thursday, September 4.

Meanwhile, Omani authorities have also confirmed that the moon of Rabi-ul-Awwal has been sighted in the country on August 23, and Sunday will be the first of Rabi-ul-Awwal.
