Okara: A woman died due to alleged torture by WAPDA officials in the Somian Bholo area of Okara.
According to the police, WAPDA officials came to collect the electricity bill from a person named Zafar Iqbal and started removing the meter. During this, the woman of the house, Anwar Bibi, resisted, and the officials allegedly tortured her, resulting in her death.
The police have registered a report of the incident on the complaint of the victim’s husband and have nominated 5 WAPDA officials. According to the authorities, special teams have been formed to arrest the accused.
