Islamabad: Italy has offered to provide over 10,000 jobs to Pakistani workers over the next three years. Under the agreement signed between the two countries, Italy has allocated a labor quota for Pakistan.
Under this agreement, 10,500 Pakistani workers will be given employment in various sectors, including shipbreaking, hospitality, health, agriculture, welding, technicians, cooks, waiters, housekeeping, nursing, medical technicians, and farming.
Skilled and semi-skilled Pakistanis will go to Italy for jobs in these sectors. Every year, 3,500 Pakistani workers will be employed abroad under seasonal and non-seasonal quotas.
Of these, 1,500 Pakistanis will go under the seasonal quota and 2,000 under the non-seasonal quota. Italy is the first European country to have a specific job quota for Pakistan.
