Dhaka: Bangladesh has decided to demand from the International Cricket Council (ICC) that its matches during the T20 World Cup 2026 be shifted from India to Sri Lanka.
This development has come after the Indian Premier League (IPL) team Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) dropped Mustafizur Rahman from the squad.
According to the Dawn Investigation Cell, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) fears that in the current situation, the security of Bangladeshi players in India, especially in Kolkata, may be at risk. According to the schedule, the Bangladesh team is to play the first three matches of the T20 World Cup in Kolkata.
