Lahore: Astro Turf should be installed as soon as possible to promote hockey in Sahiwal Division, Bureau Chief Dawn TV Shahzad Alamgir said during a meeting with Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider that there is a dire need for Astro Turf in Sahiwal because currently players from Sahiwal Division are playing in the Pakistan Hockey Team in the Pakistan Team. He further said that the Governor Gold Cup tournament should be organized immediately at the Hundred Years Hockey Sports Club in Sahiwal, so that hockey can be promoted because the Sahiwal team came second in Punjab, and its girls also played the semi-finals in Punjab, and in the All Pakistan Tournament, the girls performed very well in the Toba Tek Singh Hockey Tournament. Prince Alamgir, bureau chief of Dawn TV, said that the Governor of Punjab will soon announce the tournament in Sahiwal.
