Islamabad: It has been revealed that private individuals were getting French visas by posing as an official delegation.
The FIA has exposed the visa scandal of a senior FBR officer, in which it has been revealed that private individuals were getting French visas by posing as an official delegation.
According to the FIA, two private individuals were shown as part of the official delegation for French visas.
The FIA says that official emails were also sent to the French Embassy for two individuals, Kamran and Aamir Shahzad, in which the private individuals were shown as FBR employees. According to the FIA, these private individuals include a driver and a property dealer.
According to the investigation, FBR senior officer Atiqur Rehman received Rs 5.3 million for obtaining visas. The FIA says that the accused transferred the money to the FBR officer through the bank.
The FIA Anti-Corruption Cell has registered a case against the FBR officer and other individuals. According to the FIA, Kamran and Aamir Shahzad were arrested at Islamabad Airport.
